Mission Statement Print
At Silverado Boys Ranch, we are committed to provide an empowering experience for boys and their families in an environment that teaches respect and responsibility through work, love, and play. Our emphasis is on discovering and utilizing the inherent talents and individual gifts that exist within young men to better themselves, their families and the communities in which they live.

Commitments

We are committed to be a positive change agent in the lives and families of those who attend Silverado Boys Ranch. We are driven to provide excellence and quality in our programming, our parent workshops, our staff training, and in the overall treatment of our students.

We are committed to providing safety and security for our students. SBR staff are positive role models, and are hired and trained to model integrity, compassion, and professionalism. We teach and encourage respect for self, respect for others, and respect for nature. We will treat each student with dignity and respect, and all students will be taught to honor the rights of others.

We are committed to promote healing and hope for our students and their families through the development of healthy choices and healthy relationships.

We are committed to helping students understand the impact their behavior has on others while learning and applying the concepts of self-discipline, anger management, self-awareness, and impulse control.

Our overall goal is to effect long-lasting change in the lives of troubled boys through a program combining high impact experiential treatment, stellar academics, and a positive peer environment within a highly structured setting. Our boys will learn self-acceptance, and will become self-reliant young men.

Fay & Howard

" We can sleep at night knowing that at every level of care--from the therapists and teachers to the administration and support staff--Silverado provides a safe, nurturing haven for our son. In a short amount of time, our son's performance and attitude toward school, his relationships, and everyday functioning have greatly improved. The standards are high here, and the T.R.U.S.T. level system works!"
